BOX100-b II: battery-powered O₂ analyzer (VIGAZ)
What it is for and who uses it
The BOX100-b II is an analyzer that measures O₂ in modified atmosphere packaging and runs on a 12 V battery. According to the VIGAZ data sheet, it is designed to be installed directly at the end of the production line or in the laboratory and to carry out a large number of measurements. A measurement is started at the press of a button and stops when the sensor has finished reacting; the value is then frozen, so each measurement is almost automatic.

Data according to the manufacturer's (VIGAZ) technical data sheet.
How it is used, according to the data sheet: insert the needle through a septum and press "P"; the pump draws the sample for the programmed time, an hourglass shows the progress of the measurement and, once the reading has stabilised, it is locked on the display. There is no need to draw in air between one measurement and the next.
Position in the range
What sets it apart, according to the VIGAZ data sheets: it measures O₂ like the BOX100 II and has the same dimensions (22 x 16 x 10 cm), but it runs on a 12 V battery (charger 100-240 V - 50/60 Hz) with more than 48 hours of battery life, whereas the BOX100 II is powered at 230 V - 50/60 Hz. It weighs 2.0 kg, compared with 1.4 kg for the BOX100 II. To also measure CO₂ on battery power, the range includes the BOX120-b II.
